Crispin Gravatt
Crispin Gravatt brings a bold new voice to building vibrant, equitable communities across Idaho. With a background in sociology and economics from Boise State University and years of community engagement under his belt, he now launches his latest endeavor: the podcast The Idaho Weekly, where he explores the forces shaping our state — from infrastructure and housing to culture and affordability.
Previously, Crispin served as Executive Director of Idaho Smart Growth from 2024, guiding the nonprofit through a period of growth and renewal.
Simultaneously, he chairs the City of Boise Public Works Commission, working with residents to affect policy around utilities, waste, and urban development.
Raised in Idaho, Crispin moved to Boise in 2008; his early career included eight years at the Idaho STEM Action Center, where he helped link education, workforce, and civic opportunity.
He understands what it means to juggle multiple jobs, to work as an artist, educator, volunteer—and he brings that lived experience to every conversation.
On The Idaho Weekly, Crispin invites guests from around the state—builders, policymakers, nonprofit leaders, residents—and together they ask: how do we grow intentionally, stay affordable, and make space for everyone? His signature style is inclusive, action-oriented, and optimistic, because he believes the best outcomes come when more voices are at the table.
Whether you’re tuning in to the podcast or engaging with local policy, Crispin Gravatt is focused on one mission: shaping Idaho’s future in a way that benefits us all, today and tomorrow.
